Playground Safety from Hugh Scott
Block Header Needed
Regular playground inspections by a fully qualified Playground Inspector help reduce accidents as safety hazards are promptly identified and equipment faults can be repaired quickly. By assessing the maintenance needs, play safety inspections also promote better lifespan of play equipment. Inspectors are required to cover the whole of the site - not just the equipment, paths, fences, seats, etc., all need to be checked.
Maintenance: no inspection programme is worthwhile unless a structure exists for repairing faults and replacing parts.
